About

We build one thing, for one kind of practice.

An AI receptionist for single-location and small-group dental practices in the United States. Not a platform. Not a suite.

Why we exist

It started with a heatmap.

We pulled a week of call logs for a two-doctor practice in Massachusetts and plotted them by hour. The front desk answered almost everything between 8 AM and 5 PM. Outside that window there were 41 calls, and every one of them reached voicemail. Nine left a message. The practice had no idea the other 32 had happened.

The tools on the market answered those calls and emailed a summary. That is genuinely better than voicemail, and it is also still a pile of work for someone on Monday morning. The appointment does not exist until a human types it into the schedule, and by then the patient has often called somebody else.

So we built the part everyone else skipped: writing the booking into the practice management system while the caller is still on the phone. Open Dental first, because its API is the most honest one in the category and its practices are the ones most likely to be running without a full-time front desk at 7 PM.

Everything else in Dentelo exists to make that one moment trustworthy — the knowledge base so it answers correctly, the triage rules so it escalates a real emergency, the disclosure so nobody feels tricked, and the dashboard so you can read every word it said in your name.

How we build it

Four rules we do not bend.

These are constraints in the product, not values on a wall. Each one costs us something.

Never promise an appointment we cannot write

If the PMS write fails, the receptionist says so on the call and hands off to a human. It does not tell the patient they are booked and sort it out later. A confident wrong answer is worse than an honest handoff.

Escalate anything clinical

The receptionist does not give dental advice. Swelling, fever, trauma, uncontrolled bleeding — those go to a person, immediately, with the emergency-room red flags read out loud.

Say what it is

Every call opens by disclosing the recording and the AI. We do not make it configurable, because the practices most tempted to switch it off are the ones most exposed if they do.

Publish the prices

Every number is on the pricing page, including the ones our competitors keep behind a sales call. A practice should be able to work out its own bill before it talks to us.

Who we are not for

  • Large DSOs. You need per-region routing, custom SLAs and a procurement process we are not built for.
  • Practices that want the AI to sell treatment. It books appointments and answers questions. It does not upsell, and we will not make it.
  • Anyone who wants the recording disclosure turned off. That is not a setting.
